This piece was inspired by the condor, darkness, the night, and creation. Darkness in the way of the place where all color converges, where life is born, where the moon and the stars shine and dreams are born. The condor is known as the totem spirit and protector of the divine realm, the one who flies closest to the sun and also processes all that doesn't serve the great mystery, everything that needs to be composted back into the earth. The golden stitching are the golden threads of life, the word that generated all the lives and dyes.
This piece is hand weaved by the weavers in Boyaca, Colombia. Many generations of passed down crafts and stories. This cloak (Ruana) is a prayer one wears to face life in ceremony, in reverence and in marriage with the great Madre Tierra.
This one of a kind piece is available in a one size fits all. Best for someone 5.7"- 6.3" tall.
